Chapter 13Those commercials are cringy. How could Sakuraba accept to do such things?
Just like Hiruma, Takami is a quarterback. The quarterback is usually the leader of the offense, and their successes and failures can have a significant impact on the fortunes of his team. Accordingly, the quarterback is among the most glorified, scrutinized and highest-paid positions in team sports. NFL teams cannot maintain success without excellent quarterback play.
Surpringly, Deimon decided to use a goal-line defense against Oujou although they are not being in front of the goal.
Is Deimon's strategy that simple?
I love when the series does that! Is Kurita going to stop Takami?
Now Oujou has an idea of how fast Eyeshield is. So Takami's passes won't get intercepted anymore. In order to win, Oujou can just play safe with short passes and run. They can take their time and win the game. And Shin stops Sena every time. End of first half.
Sena wanted to quit the match as he didn't want to be tackled again by Shin. He didn't want to be in pain again. But then he saw that he wasn't the only one suffering.
Hiruma and Deimon are not giving up.
The parallel between Sakuraba and Sena is great. For most of his life, Sena had been a major pushover. But this began to change as he matured through the series. The first sign of this was his refusal to sell Kurita out despite Ha-ha brothers' threats. After he'd faced Shin, he became even bolder and came to want to challenge strong opponents. He decided to stay and fight against Shin.
Deimon is a small team so they have to keep the same players in offense and in defense. However, Oujou has more than 40 members, so they can afford to switch players between offense and defense. Therefore, Oujou also has the advantage of stamina against Deimon.

Usually on a running play, the quarterback will then hand or pitch the ball backwards to a running back. On a passing play, the quarterback is almost always the player responsible for trying to throw the ball downfield to an eligible receiver. Additionally, the quarterback will often run with the football himself, which could be part of a designed play like the option run or quarterback sneak, or it could be an effort to avoid being sacked by the defense.
Surpringly, Deimon decided to use a goal-line defense against Oujou although they are not being in front of the goal.
Is Deimon's strategy that simple?
I love when the series does that! Is Kurita going to stop Takami?
Kurita managed to beat Otawara but he can't stop Takami.
Takami is quite clever, he passes the ball and tries tro prevent Eyeshield from intercepting the ball.
But he shouldn't underestimate Sena's speed!
But remember? Sakuraba sucks.
And Sena sucks too. But he is a beginner, so it isn't surprising.
Fortunately, Hiruma is there to save the ball! Then he passes the ball to Sena.
And Sena is running! Even the greatest defense in Japan finds it hard to stop Sena!
But this guy stopped him! 13 yards left before scoring a touchdown.
Hiruma's trick play is impressive. He is truly an outstanding quarterback. 8 yards left. Is Deimon going to score a touchdown?
Shin won against Sena who is tackled for the first time in the series.
Sena has always avoided pain, that's why he was running errands for bullies and never did something dangerous, until now.
Sena vs Shin, round 2. Shin stopped Sena by... getting hold of him? I am pretty sure that you can't do that, but whatever.
For an ace, Sakuraba sucks. He could have caught the ball and kept running for at least 20 more yards, but he failed. No wonder Sakuraba has a lot of confidence issues.
Hiruma's strategies are always awesome.
But he shouldn't underestimate Sena's speed!
Chapter 14
Sena vs Sakuraba! As Sakuraba is much taller than Sena, it seems that Sakuraba would win.But remember? Sakuraba sucks.
And Sena sucks too. But he is a beginner, so it isn't surprising.
Fortunately, Hiruma is there to save the ball! Then he passes the ball to Sena.

Shin has finally arrived, Deimon is screwed now. And why the hell does he look so evil?
Chapter 15
SENA VS SHIN!
Shin then stole the ball and scored a touchdown!
This is a reason why American Football is exciting. In no sport is defense more intriguing than football. In basketball there are blocks and in baseball there are diving catches, but no sport can match football for its overall defensive excitement. In other sports, defense can lead to scoring opportunities. In football, the defense can simply take the ball and score itself.
Chapter 16
After scoring a touchdown, Oujou decided to kick to gain 1 bonus point. The two-point conversion is hard whereas the one-point conversion is easy when you have a good kicker. But Deimon doesn't have a kicker, so they can't score any bonus point. Now Oujou has an idea of how fast Eyeshield is. So Takami's passes won't get intercepted anymore. In order to win, Oujou can just play safe with short passes and run. They can take their time and win the game. And Shin stops Sena every time. End of first half.
The coach of Oujou is very strict. Despite winning the first half by far, he is still mad at his team. He is a jerk, but he is still fair and wants Oujou to be the best team.
Hiruma and Deimon are not giving up.

On the other hand, Sakuraba decided to remain the same. A model and an overrated athlete.
