Chapter 13
WHAT THE HELL! There are too many good panels, it is so hard to chose! Let’s just say that the fight is awesome.
Kakashi ended trapped in a water prison. How are Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura supposed to win against Zabuza? How screwed are they?
Even Kakashi believes it is hopeless and orders his teams to flee.
But Naruto swore he would never freeze up or run again.

And Naruto has a plan!
Kiri's graduation exercise is fucked up.
On the one hand, Zabuza murdered a hundred future ninjas. On the other hand, he saved half of the current ninjas in Kiri as this stupid graduation exercise was abolished. Was Zabuza actually a blessing in disguise?
Yeah, maybe not. Zabuza is messed up.
Naruto gave Sasuke this beautiful weapon! I like the design of this Fūma Shuriken, I wish people would use more this weapon in the manga. Alas.
Sasuke is quite clever.
Unfortunately, Zabuza managed to dodge both Shurikens. But Sasuke is still smiling!
Naruto's plan was even better than everyone expected! While Naruto is quite dumb in every day life, he is actually a genius when it comes to fighting!
Kakashi is free and is ready to defeat Zabuza!
Naruto really matured a lot, his plan was perfect.

The Shinobi who killed Zabuza is about the same age as Naruto. That's impressive!
Naruto can't believe that someone so young would be able to easily kill Zabuza. Kakashi explained to him that there are geniuses who are young and ridiculously strong. But I don't know if they are examples in this manga that support Kakashi's statement.
And this new guy is gone with Zabuza's corpse.
OH NO! Kakashi is exhausted and can't move anymore.
For those who have already read the manga, remember the time when Kakashi had to remain a week in a bed because he used the Sharingan? Me neither.
Shinobi Hunters (Hunter-nin) are interesting. Unfortunately after that arc, Kiri is very misused, so Kishimoto wasted some potentially good characters.
Turns out that Zabuza is alive...
Oh this Hunter-nin looks like a girl. He/she is beautiful!
Zabuza and the hunter-nin were in fact allies! So, there will be a second round between Zabuza and Kakashi!
Tazuna, Sakura and Naruto freaked out, but not Tsunami (who doesn't even know who that Zabuza guy is).
TRAINING ARC!

Inari's first appearance. For those of you who watch/read My Hero Academia, he is very similar to Kouta.
A different translation says “Gatô? "Gateau"? This guy's named "Chocolate"*! You can't seriously expect me to be afraid of that!” Naruto spits some burns against Gatô.
I don't like this boy, fuck off.

Chapter 14
Naruto and Sasuke have a good bromance. It is not as good as Gon and Killua in Hunter x Hunter, but it is nice to see them fighting together.
Naruto uses his Kage Bunshin no Jutsu to try to stop Zabuza.
Notice that Sasuke perfectly understood Naruto's plan even though they didn't talk to each other! They are already cooperating like they are best friends, that's nice!
Chapter 15
Naruto and Sasuke succeeded in their task!
Kakashi deserves to be called The Copy Ninja, he perfectly imitates Zabuza.
Well that's a powerful ninjutsu. Zabuza can't keep up with Kakashi at all.
Chapter 16
Obito, Rin and Minato's first appearances are in that cover page! Kakashi's team when he was young seems similar to his current team, they are many parallels in this manga. Kishimoto loves parallels.
Chapter 17
Kakashi understood (too late) that Zabuza was in fact alive.
The Hunter-nin is quite intelligent and his accuracy is scary.
* “Gâteau” actually means “cake” in French.
Naruto doesn't know anything about chakra... Come on, Kishimoto. Why did you make Naruto so stupid after his genius plan some chapters ago?
Finally the concept of Chakra is explained! The training seems weird but I like the idea!
It is said in the Shonen Jump Special Collector Edition that "Though Kishimoto had concerns that chakra (the energy source used by the ninjas in Naruto) made the series too Japanese, he still believed it is an enjoyable read."
