Bleach (Chapters 2-4) - Review

Chapter 2
The next day, Yuzu and Karin are all healed and their memories are wiped of the whole incident believing it to have been a truck accident.

Here's Orihime and Tatsuki!

Orihime loves Ichigo in a weird way. While Orihime and her wild imagination is funny, I don't ship her with Ichigo to be honest. IchiHime was only a joke in the beginning of the series.

Rukia shows up at Karakura High School as a new student, telling people her family had just moved there. She quietly threatens to kill Ichigo if he reveals anything about her true identity. The series used to be full with funny gags!

Rukia explains that her power is still inside Ichigo, preventing her from returning to Soul Society. She reveals she is using a Gigai (artificial body) to recover, enabling normal Humans to see her.

Rukia doesn't seem very upset for someone who has just lost her powers, She didn't even blame Ichigo. She's not a whiner, I like that.

Rukia tells Ichigo he will have to take over her Shinigami duties, which he refuses to do. Ichigo only wanted power to save his family, he never wanted to become a hero or a guardian of the city of Karakura.

Rukia, forcing his Shinigami form out of his body, takes him to a park where a Hollow is about to appear.

When Ichigo attempts to help him, Rukia stops him and points out that the young boy is a stranger before reminding Ichigo that he will be devoured sooner or later regardless of whether Ichigo saves him unless Ichigo performs her Shinigami duties. Rukia tells him to not save the young boy unless he can commit to helping all Souls in need of help and even risking his life for them.
"A Shinigami has to treat all spirits equally. You cannot just conveniently save those you can see, those you can reach!" Rukia Kuchiki

Ichigo appears in front of Hexapodus and cuts off one of his legs. Rebuking Rukia for speaking of self-sacrifice so casually, Ichigo proceeds to shove his Zanpakutō through Hexapodus's head.

He then reminds Rukia of how she risked her own life last night for him despite her Shinigami duties.

Ichigo indirectly said that Rukia is nice as she selflessly risked her life for him. Ichigo is not as selfless as her, but he still wants to pay back his debt.

Look at Rukia's smile, she's so cute! Even if Ichigo doesn't want to, he accepted to carry out his Shinigami duties for Rukia, a girl he barely knows but still saved his family's life.

Chapter 3
NO ORIHIME!
Rukia is "studying modern speech", so she reads a horror manga while she made Ichigo train. This shows that Ichigo is already casual around Rukia and that Rukia is interested in the human world. As the saying goes, "Show, don't tell".

Also Ichigo is wearing a shirt that says "Speaking is not communication." And it is true. A lack of talking does not necessarily mean there’s a lack of communication. Communication isn’t just about talking to each other. We communicate non-verbally through the things we don’t say, the tone of our voice, the pitch of our voice, our body language, our facial expressions, etc.

Rukia's training is so weird! It comes as no surprise that Ichigo totally misses the point of the training. And look at them arguing like an old married couple!
Orihime has a bizarre taste in food. I am worried about her cooking skills.

Rukia plays up her innocent polite girl guise to bow to her

A car had hit her, but she waved it off as a "bump in the head" so cheerfully.

Ichigo is not really friend with Orihime. That's why they called each other by their family names (Kurosaki and Inoue). Unlike many western cultures, in Japan people generally don't call one-another by their first name. Doing so can be a mark of disrespect, unless you're very close to the other person and in the right sort of casual environment, so you've read.

However, Rukia doesn't give a fuck about that and calls Ichigo by his first name although she barely knows him. I am pretty sure that Ichigo never said Rukia's name so far. Tatsuki (Orihime's friend) and Mizuiro also said Ichigo in the previous chapter, so we know that Ichigo is probably close to them.

Orihime had an older brother who died three years ago. He died while Ichigo's family was arranging his transfer to a big hopital.

Look at that, it's only chapter 3, and they're already flirting.

I love how Rukia just makes herself at home in his closet.  in his room and stealsYuzu’s clothes.

Ichigo managed to repel the hollow but he didn't kill it.

The new enemy is Sora, Orihime's dead older brother. All hollows were previously humans.

Chapter 4
Of course, Ichigo doesn't like the idea of killing humans.

In the meantime, Tatsuki talks with Orihime about Ichigo. Tatsuki casually said some horrible stuff. She's of course just joking, but still...

Orihime is daydreaming about Ichigo. That's cute.

WHAT THE FUCK? A daydream about Ichigo turns into gentle frolicking, but suddenly, they rush towards each other with fire in their eyes.....and then it turns into Orihime winning a boxing match! And finally someone tried to kill her.

So, Hollows are souls that weren't brought to Soul Society by a Shinigami.

In other words, if Shinigamis didn't do such a bad job about their first mission (to guide Pluses to Soul Society), their second mission (to extinguish Hollows) would not even be needed. What the hell are they even doing?

The Hollow Acidwire attacks Orihime and Tatsuki. He manages to knock out her sister's soul.

Orihime was awesome back then. Even if she was afraid, she still tried to stop the hollow from killing Tatsuki.

But she doesn't have any power, so she can't do much. Ichigo therefore came to save her!
