Previously in Eyeshield 21. The Deimon Devil Bats are up 6-0. However, the Ojo White Knights' ace player linebacker Shin is put into play, turning the tide in favor of the White Knights.
The Deimon Devil Bats are in trouble due to Shin playing. Shin's Spear Tackle is a tackle with just a single stretched hand from a considerable distance. That's why it looks like a spear coming out. Normally an arm isn't enough to stop runners. But Shin has enough power to do just that. So Sena decides to run even faster and tries to spin to avoid Shin's tackle. But he fails to pass Shin.
Hiruma reveals that Eyeshield 21 is even faster than Shin, but Shin says he will not be disturbed by this taunt.
Kurita easily defeats Otawara and tries to sack the Quarterback Takami. But Takami still manages to pass and score a touchdown for his team.

Look at how fast our boy is growing up!
Eyeshield 21 promises to defeat Shin even once. So Hiruma decides to give him a chance.
In Eyeshield 21, a 4.4 seconds 40 yard dash is "the world of the speed of sound" and 4.2 seconds "the world of the speed of light." Of course, sound and light are much much faster than that, but it is just an image.
The manga reminds us how fast is each character!
Despite Sena's efforts, he can't pass Shin. Shin feels threatened by Sena's increasing speed, so he becomes more and more aggressive.
Sakuraba can't understand why Eyeshield 21 is so determined to beat Shin whereas the linebacker is more talented than him.
"There's too much difference in skills. It's no use. No matter how hard you try, just give up." Sakuraba

The final showdown! Up until now, because there's Shin and Otawara in the Center, Deimon has always gone around them from the side. But this time Deimon is breaking through the center! Sena and Kurita vs Shin and Otawara!
Kurita easily defeats Otawara again, and he even manages to slow down Shin for a second.
Shin tries to catch up with Sena and tackle him. But Sena runs as fast as he can and manages to score another touchdown!
Shin thinks that Eyeshield 21 is at "a speed where all the power in the world would not be able to touch him." He is surprised to finally meet someone who is faster than him!
Even though Sena lost many duels against Shin, he won the last one!
Sena screwed up, but Mamori can't understand that Sena and Eyeshield 21 are the same people. To be fair, it is not really obvious as Sena is a coward and Eyeshield 21 a hero who was tackled multiple times by Shin and who scored two Touchdowns against Ojo.

Shin acknowleges Sena as his rival. Ojo's coach seems happy about that.
Sakuraba had to decide between the game or fame during the match. And he wished he had been more serious in the game. Even the rookie replacement player managed to score a touchdown!
Despite Ojo's overwhelming win against Deimon (62-12), the coach says that there was no winner. Indeed, Otawara was humiliated by Kurita, the so-called ace Sakuraba didn't do jack shit and got wounded and Shin was defeated by Sena in their last duel.
The journalist wanted to go interview the losing team in order to make them look more pitiful and more interesting. But Hiruma decides to advertise his team to recruit more people!
Hiruma asks Sena to organize the pictures after school. The most important ones are pictures that captured the formations because they can't get these pictures from the sideline.
Hiruma persuades him to start preparing for a more important tournament, the Autumn Tournament, which decides the contestants for the Christmas Bowl!
Sena is now a full-fledged athlete and one of the best players, who gives everything he's got to stand up again even after a defeat!
Darrell Royal's letter
You should all ask yourself what do you feel when you are defeated. Are you blaming others, feeling depressed, or are you feel with passion, ready to take the challenge again.
All those of you who has played on the field will have tasted defeat, there's no player who has not lost before, however the best players, as a tribute to all their efforts, will give everything they've got to stand up again, the ordinary players will take them a while to get back on their feet,
while the losers will remain flat on the field.
Do not be ashamed about being defeated. To be defeated and to not stand up is what you should be ashamed of.
-University of Texas Longhorn Head coach, Darrell Royal-
