Chapter 44
Elsewhere in Karakura Town, Ichigo slashes through a Hollow's mask, purifying it, while noting that Karin should be safe for now because he and Uryū Ishida have defeated most of the Hollows between her and the Kurosaki Clinic.
Rukia then explained to Ichigo that the Quincies were all killed by Shinigami. Wait a minute... if Soul Society is where all souls go after they die, does that mean that every dead Quincy is now in Soul Society? Maybe some Quincy joins the Shinigami after they die? Or maybe they are all planning a rebellion together? Or maybe they were all reincarnated to avoid an awkward situation?
But Ishida doesn't give a fuck about this old story.
Orihime's imagination is... interesting. I wish she had more creativity in her power instead of being just the "White Mage" of the team.
Previously in Bleach, Orihime and Chad both awakened their power to kill hollows. Then they were saved by Urahara.
And Uryu finally understood that he fucked up.
I really don't know how challenging a Shinigami into a stupid challenge would help Uryu avenge his Sensei.
Rukia complains that she can't kill a small fry as she lost her Shinigami power and still hasn't recovered at all.
As the Hollow attempts to attack Rukia again, Kon appears and lands a kick to its head, sending it flying back. Rukia initially believes it is Ichigo.
But Rukia quickly concludes that it is Kon as he rubs his head against her chest and declares that he missed her greatly. That's sexual harassment, Kon!
That makes sense. I honestly don't know why Kubo felt the need to retcon the origins of their powers many time.
Kon, Rukia, Uryu and Ichigo are now all gathered in the same place!
Chapter 45

Urahara looks so badass here. But he also looks a bit evil. I don't know if Urahara was meant at the time to be a villain or not.
All of them are hilarious! Kon, Rukia and Ichigo argue as usual, but Uryu being ignored makes the whole conversation funnier.
WOW. It reminds me of the eclipse in Berserk. That's scary.
The Shinigami "had to" wipe out the Quincy. Hmm no? I'm pretty sure that there are always other solutions than committing a fucking genocide.
For instance, in next volume we know that Shinigami can lost their powers if their "Saketsu" and "Hakusui" are sealed/destroyed. The Quincy probably also have their own source of spiritual power, so the Shinigami could have destroyed it so that every Quincy loses their power.
Or they could work together. Shinigami could also have asked Quincy to find ways to avoid killing hollows so that they could give enough time for Shinigami to purify hollow.
Moreover, Quincies seem to have a lot of cool stuffs and they have many techniques similar to Shinigami, so maybe they could have also found a way to purify hollows with time?
Chapter 46
The balance of spirit is a nice concept, but I think it is hard to believe it could work.
The world population was around 1 billion in the year 1800 and increased 7-fold since then. So how did Soul Society manage to survive the rampant population growth in Earth?
Moreover, around 108 billion people have ever lived on our planet. This means that today's population size makes up 6.5% of the total number of people ever born (Source). How does reincarnation work in the Bleach Universe?
Wow, Ichigo easily killed a lot of hollows. I wonder how strong he really is.
Yeah, that makes sense. Getting revenge for something that happened 200 years ago is hardly a justification for anything nowadays.
Uryu is so cute when he was a child. And his Sensei was a nice guy, I like them.
"In peacetime the Shinigami in Sould Society would be late in dealing with hollows in this world." Fuck you Shinigami. Fuck you. I've already said that, but Shinigami suck at their job. And the series gives more and more reason to support this.
"When they came to defeat the hollows, it was two hours after Sensei began fighting." Shinigami suck. Shinigami are so bad at their jobs, I don't even know what the fuck they are doing.
If only every Shinigami was like Ichigo, instead of doing bad their job and refusing help from humans.
Chapter 47
I love this panel. Ichigo and Uryu vs many big hollows.
Ichigo kills hollows because he wants to avoid other people suffering from a relative's death like him.
Ichigo's motivation to become a Shinigami is to protect a mountain load of people. Many people thinks Ichigo is bland because of his lack of ambitious goal, but I don't have any issue with that. Ichigo lives in a world similar to our. He is not Naruto or Luffy who live in a very different world. Ichigo has a very relatable goal for a human. It is a simple goal, and paradoxically an original one.
Ichigo won't give Uryu for risking the lives of a moutain load of people. But he doesn't have any other choice than fighting with him.
Remember when these hollows were scary and dangerous? Me neither.
Uryu wonders how they can fight the big hollow while taking on the hollows surrounding them. And Ururu is there to help Ichigo and Uryu! She is a badass little girl with a bazooka, I like her!
Urahara, Ururu, Jinta and Tessai are there to support Ichigo!
