Chapter 53
Ichigo wanted to go the toilet but there was a strange noise. He discovered that it was Kon.
But this funny message was meant to hide a secret and serious one... Kon and Ichigo quickly understood that Rukia is in deep trouble with Soul Society.
And Urahara is there to transform Ichigo into a Shinigami!
Uryu was easily defeated by Renji. But Uryu still has injuries, so I don't think the fight was very fair.
But at first, Ichigo is not powerful enough to beat Renji.
Rukia is going to be executed at the Soul Society. Wait... For what? Giving a human Shinigami power to save the Kurosaki's family lives? That's messed up.
Ichigo is losing the fight against Renji. Rukia wished Ichigo would run away to avoid being killed. She then decided to stop Renji from killing Ichigo.
But instead of running away, Ichigo began to beat the crap out of Renji.
Ichigo is going to win against Renji!
Or not... Ichigo's sword was destroyed.
"Another 20 years will be added to your sentence!" Hmm... Wasn't Rukia going to be executed? What does that mean?
Therefore, Byakuya decided to let Ichigo live. Even if he managed to survive, he would no longer have his Shinigami power.
Previously in Bleach. Two Shinigami, Renji (Rukia's "friend") and Byakuya (Rukia's brother) were ordered to capture Rukia because she gave power to a human. Renji attacked a powerless Rukia, but luckily Uryu happens to be there to save her!
Uryu can be badass if he wants to!
Rukia has a good sense of humor!
Ichigo decided to ignore Rukia's message and save her.
Renji imitated Uryu before trying to kill him.
Fortunately, Ichigo is there to save Uryu. And he imitates Renji (who imitated Uryu).
Chapter 54
Renji (like every reader) is surprised by Ichigo's huge sword. It is revealed that the Zanpakutô size reflects the amount of the swordsman's spiritual power, so Ichigo must have a lot of spiritual power for a rookie.
Renji points out how Ichigo's Zanpakutō is a huge and impotent embarrassment, which means Ichigo cannot control his Reiryoku, and demands to know what its name is, only for a confused Ichigo to state that it does not have a name and express surprise at the idea of Shinigami naming their Zanpakutō. Renji then released his Shikai, Zabimaru.
Chapter 55
YEAH ICHIGO!
Byakuya easily destroyed it. He was so fast that Ichigo didn't notice him.
NOOOOO! Byakuya is much stronger than Ichigo, who for the first time of his life can't do anything.
Chapter 56
Remember when Renji STRANGLED Rukia? Seriously, Renji was very out-of-character when he was tasked to capture Rukia. I really can't understand his behaviors.
It was already foreshadowed in the Grand Fisher arc. Rukia used to care a lot about someone who probably died in a fight to protect his pride. And Ichigo is similar to that guy.
Look at how relieved Rukia was to see Ichigo alive!
Rukia then lied to protect Ichigo's life.
"Don't... even try to move... one step from there... If... you try to follow me... I'll never forgive you!"
Rukia said this with tears in her eyes. "Speaking is not communication". While Rukia is trying to sever her bond with Ichigo with words, he knows that she is lying to protect his life.
Renji opens the Senkaimon to leave for Soul Society. Rukia was captured by Renji and Byakuya.
Chapter 57
"It feels as though... the rain has stopped" Ichigo
Rain is the symbol of Ichigo's despair. So when Urahara used his umbrella to protect Ichigo from the rain, it also means that Urahara is the one who will give hope for Ichigo to save Rukia.
That scene was so random and yet so funny!
Urahara offered Ichigo a way to go to Soul Society and save Rukia. But he had one condition: Ichigo must train with him for ten days. However, Ichigo doesn't want to train. He wants to quickly rescue Rukia.
Urahara purposely let Ichigo fight Renji and Byakuya. After Ichigo fought them, Urahara thought it would be easier for Ichigo to realize that he won't stand a chance against the Soul Society.
"A weakling barging in enemy territory is suicide. To rescue Rukia? Stop being so childish. Don't use other people as an excuse to go kill yourself." Urahara
The rain has stopped. Ichigo now has hope to save his friend's life!
