Bleach (Chapters 58-61) - Review

Chapter 58

This cover page is perfect. It shows how for Ichigo there is everyone and there is a missing Rukia. Even if Rukia came from the Soul Society, the whole chapter shows how sad Ichigo was without Rukia.

I wish I had a teacher like that (apart from the "I don't give a fuck about Uryu's injuries", that's not cool).

Keigo wanted everyone to go on a trip to the ocean. But everyone refused. I honestly feel bad for Keigo!

"Nobody seems to remember Rukia at all. In Rukia's seat... What's his face... Tetsu... And not one person speaks of anything about Rukia. Now that it's like this. I painfully feel it. So this is what happens when you go to the Soul Society. You disappear. Everyone's memory of her existence in this world vanished without a trace... like the wind." Ichigo in an earlier page

Ichigo's world is not the same without Rukia. That's how important she is to him.

But Ichigo is not the only one who remembers Rukia. Orihime asked him why everyone suddenly forget about Rukia. Ichigo, no longer bound by the rules of the Shinigami, sees no reason not to tell her. He lays out the whole story, and Orihime, having gotten accustomed to the supernatural at this point, is quick to believe. Ichigo says if he knew she could see him he might've acted differently.
 

"Are you going to take her away from her family and friends and drag her back here again? Do you think that... it's the right thing to do?" YES, I DO. Rukia's friend (Renji) was smiling while trying to beat her and her family (Byakuya) doesn't give a fuck about her. Her friend and her family were the one who capture her. Goddamn it, Rukia is going to be executed! Taking her away from her family and friends is way better than letting her die! 

That's the Orihime I know! 

Orihime decided to develop her powers to help Ichigo!

Chapter 59

So despite being dead, Shinigami also needs to eat. What do they eat? Apples like Ryuk in Death Note? 

That confirmed that Rukia and Renji used to be friends.

That's a sick joke Renji. Or maybe he knew the truth and tried to comfort Rukia.

Surpringly, Renji doesn't know Byakuya very well, even if he is his vice-captain.

If Orihime knew that, she would have never said her "taking away Rukia from her family may not be the right thing" bullshit. Byakuya is an asshole to his sister. Notice that Rukia said she was adopted. I will let you guys (who don't already know the answer) speculate why.

Well, Urahara is awesome and funny. He built a subterranean basement in only one day and also had time to decorate the place.

First lesson, Ichigo must try to fight with Ururu. "The rules are simple. Once one or the other can no longer move, the study session ends. So just be sure to knock her out before she knocks you out!", said Urahara.

Ichigo, you should never underestimate a little girl! I love Ururu, she is cute and badass. 

Chapter 60

Ichigo wonders how he can put this head gear on.

Urahara loves to mess up with people. It is rare to see Ichigo blushing with shame!

Ichigo then realized than if he can run and dodge the attacks, that means he can catch up with her speed. He hit Ururu who became angry.

RIP Ichigo. You were a nice guy.

Oh turns out Ichigo survived. Lesson 1 cleared! Even though Ichigo lost, Urahara never said that he had to win to clear the lesson. Moreover, Ururu's fighting skills are good enough to take on Shinigami. So there was no way Ichigo, a mere spiritual body, could win against her.

Ichigo thought he would get some food in celebration of passing his first lesson. But instead, Tessai broke his chain and Urahara said that it is high time for lesson two.

Meanwhile, Orihime and Chad are training with Yoruichi.

Chapter 61

Uryu wanted to train in a place where no one could bother him.

Well his plan didn't work at all. Orihime and Chad are going to take lessons with their master if they want to go to the Soul Society, so they offer Uryu to train with them. Uryu asked who their master is. 

Yoruichi is savage. I didn't remember that!

I love that panel. Orihime is trying to convince Uryu that Yoruichi is amazing, but she holds Yoruichi as if it was an ordinary cat.

"I've never thought of rescuing Kuchiki-san in the first place." There is no way that's true. I mean, Uryu risked his life to save Rukia against Renji and then he wanted Urahara to quickly heal Ichigo because he is the only one who can save Rukia. Uryu cares about Rukia (even if they barely interacted with each other).

Uryu's doing some special training that no one must see! How strong will he become?

Urahara... is a jerk. He endangered Ichigo's life without explaining everything before.

Even if the chain of fate has been severed, there is a way to prevent Ichigo from becoming a hollow. Just one way. That is the become a Shinigami.

If I had a daughter, I wish she could be like Ururu. Does Urahara view Ururu and Jinta as his children? If that's the case, he clearly has a preference for Ururu! Well, who gives a fuck about Jinta anyway.

BAKUDO 99? Man, Tessai is actually very strong. Tessai is probably the greatest Kidō masters in Soul Society. He has demonstrated the ability to use the highest-level Kidō at full power with complete control. But Kubo didn't let Tessai do anything relevant. That's a shame.

That's creepy as hell! Poor Ichigo.
