Chapter 46
Previously in Naruto. The second part of the exam begins! Each team must go to the tower at the center of the Forest of Death with two different scrolls.
After a boring fight, Sasuke stabbed the ninja from Ame who fled.
Team 7 decided to have a password in case they are separated.
But a ninja from Kusa heard them! Naruto can't remember the password straight away, and Sakura says he is such a dunce. To be honest, I can't do that either.
Sakura remembered the password and Naruto too. Wait...
Meanwhile, the real Naruto is facing a huge snake! Then the snake eats Naruto...
That's even more disgusting.
Fortunately, it was just an illusion. But Sasuke throws up and he is paralysed by fear like Sakura. He knows that they must retreat or they will die.

Naruto and his friends are against a dangerous and scary opponent... Even Anko is worried! Anko wanted the Hokage to deploy two black ops to the Forest of Death. Why only two guys as a reinforcement?
Team 8 has already captured an enemy ninja. That was fast!

The ninja from Kusa quickly found Sasuke and Sakura.
And Naruto arrives to save them! He can't remember the password, which is the proof that he is the real one.
Sasuke is afraid that Naruto would make the situation worse. He doesn't want him or his friends to die, so he decided to give the scroll.
The Kusa ninja compliments Sasuke while Naruto is angry at him.
Despite their rivalry, Naruto has a lot of respect for Sasuke. He knows that Sasuke is not coward. Sasuke is a genius and a top-ranking rookie. Unlike Naruto, Sasuke fought against the Demon Brothers without showing any fear for instance.
Naruto says that there is no point in giving the scroll as the enemy could still kill them and then take the scroll. Even a stupid guy like Naruto understood that, so he can't accept that Sasuke would act like a coward.
The Kusa ninja summoned another giant snake. Naruto fought the snake and surprised everyone, even his enemy.
This is a good parallel from the previous arc when Naruto was so afraid against the Demon Brothers that he couldn't anything, while Sasuke calmly fought them. This time Sasuke is scared of his enemy whereas Naruto is not giving up! He even uses the same sentence that Sasuke said to mock him.
Turns out that the ninjas from Kusa were killed before the exams. Some people took their appearances.
Of course, Sasuke is quite ashamed of himself.
After being trapped with him for a dozen years, the Demon Fox and Naruto's native Chakra and psyche have apparently gone from enmity and opposition to coexistence, and they are on the very brink of symbiosis. The dangerous guy put a seal, whose effects are so far unknown, on Naruto.

The enemy's name is Orochimaru! He is not from Kusa, but from Oto as the three ninjas from Oto answer to him! Orihimaru burnt the scroll, so Team 7 must find another one!
Orochimaru looks forward to seeing Sasuke again in the quest for power. And he gave Sasuke "just a little something to remember him by".
